This brochure brings forth the significant elements of Pakistan’s Parliament and highlights the key activities and achievements of the Senate and the National Assembly that together make up Pakistan’s Parliament. The aim of this publication is to provide a concise introduction to the political system in Pakistan and the composition and activities of the Parliament and the Provincial Assemblies. Furthermore, the document highlights the representation of women in the Parliament and the Provincial Assemblies and also the participation of Minorities and the Youth in the law-making bodies of Pakistan. The system of the devolution of power to the grassroots level, as the third-tier of government and another significant feature of Pakistan’s democratic structure is also highlighted in this document.
