The National and Provincial Assemblies of Pakistan transitioned for the first time from one democratically elected legislature to the next in 2013. PILDAT has recorded and published the key developments that took place in each of the National and Provincial Assemblies within their first year. This paper has been prepared to take the exercise a step further by doing a comparative perspective between the legislatures as well as using the example of international legislatures to suggest ways for the improvement of the National and Provincial Assemblies of Pakistan.
