The draft Compulsory Immunization Bill, though has not been presented in the Parliament, has been proposed by a section of the civil society to generate a debate on maximising coverage of the immunization process in Pakistan. The draft bill has been proposed keeping in view the poor results of the immunization coverage in the country and offers certain solutions by proposing to provide a legal compulsory cover to the immunization process for all in Pakistan. Through this Legislative Brief, PILDAT has analysed the bill in its available detail so as to generate an informed debate and interaction on the issue. PILDAT, of course, is neither propagating for nor against the introduction or the passage of the draft bill.
