The Pakistan Parliamentary Study Visit of the Members of the National Assembly of Pakistan, Provincial Assembly of the Punjab and the Honourable Speaker Provincial Assembly of Balochistan to Canada took place from October 03- 07, 2011. The Study Visit was facilitated with the objective to provide an opportunity to selected legislators from Pakistan to learn from the Canadian Parliamentary Budget Process, both at the centre, in the House of Commons, Canada as well as in the Ontario Legislature, and how the Budget Process empowers legislatures and their committees to facilitate public input into the budget at the time of budget preparation and to scrutinise it thoroughly before its passage. This report covers key areas of interaction and learning during the Study Visit.
