PILDAT releases Experts’ Analysis on the Quality of Governance across Pakistan’s Federal and Provincial Governments, June 1, 2013 – May 31, 2014.

October 10: As public focus shifts from the establishment of democracy to what democracy has delivered to the people of Pakistan, PILDAT releases Expert’s Analysis on the Quality of Governance. This book presents an analysis by eminent experts on some of the core indicators on the Quality of Governance across National and Provincial Governments.

On a scientific basis, a programme on data collection of key performance indicators has already been undertaken at PILDAT based on which a PILDAT Report on Quality of Governance during 1st Year of National and Provincial Governments will be released towards the end of 2014.

The Expert’s Analysis covers Quality of Governance in the following areas: Peace, Stability & Order (Internal Security); Poverty Alleviation; National Defence; Foreign Policy Management; Education; Health Care and Immunization. This collection of Experts’ Assessments is part of PILDAT’s new initiative of Assessment of Quality of Governance in Pakistan. The objective of the Governance Assessment process is not to finger point at any particular Government but to assist elected political Governments at the Centre and the Provinces to improve their Quality of Governance; Anti-Corruption; Energy Production and Management; Performance of Regulatory Bodies; Investment Friendliness; Tax Collection; Management of Inflation; Management of Unemployment; Devolution of Powers to the Lower Tiers; Water Resources Development & Management; Environmental Sustainability; Disaster Preparedness & Management and Clean, Efficient and Economic Public Procurement.
