August 21: PILDAT organised a Short Course on the subject of Pakistan’s Public Policy and Political Economy Challenges in Karachi.
Speakers included Mr. Javed Jabbar, Former Senator, Former Federal Minister for Information and Media Development, Dr. Syed Akbar Zaidi, Political Economist, Mr. Khurram Husain, Business and Economy Journalist, Mr. Ahmed Bilal Mehboob, President PILDAT and Ms. Aasiya Riaz, Joint Director, PILDAT.
Participants included nominees from Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in addition to professionals and scholars, who, towards the end of the course, developed practical recommendations for policy makers including for Government, Parliament and Political Parties on how to execute an inter-institutional dialogue.
