PILDAT Team is bereaved by the departure of Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo, the iconic democratic leader, who always stood for improvement of democracy and federalism in Pakistan.

Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has left a very distinct imprint on politics in Pakistan. He has left behind a rich legacy of struggle for peace, federal democracy, secularism and social justice. He was always admired for his steadfast approach and leadership on the shape and form of democracy and federalism Pakistan needs and the path we must carve to achieve constitutional demarcation of inter-institutional relations in Pakistan. He is deeply admired for his clarity of conviction, his courage and his humility. Pakistan is left poorer without him. He and his party courageously adopted the constitutional and electoral course for struggle at a time when there was tremendous pressure to opt for radical solutions.
