The report of the NWFP PAC’s visit to the British Parliament carries details of the PAC’s interactions and learning during the study tour. It presents a concise account of lectures, briefings and meetings that the NWFP PAC members participated in on the British constitutional arrangements having particular regard to the role of the Public Accounts Committee, the British Committee System, British Media and the PAC and the functioning of the National Audit Office, UK, etc. The report also describes the meetings between the delegation and the relevant elected officials such as the Chair of the PAC and witnessing of proceedings of PAC. Towards the end, the report reviews the programme of the study tour in terms of lessons learnt by the NWFP PAC members as well as carries ideas for improving functioning of NWFP PAC that the delegates had put forward in their individual reports of the study tour.
