The Senate of Pakistan completed its parliamentary year March 11, 2025 to March 12, 2026. The first sitting of the Senate for this parliamentary year was held on March 11, 2025. In line with its commitment to transparency and accountability, PILDAT has assessed the Senate’s performance based on the period from March 11, 2025 to March 12, 2026.
This Citizens’ Report on Performance of the Senate of Pakistan 2025–2026 evaluates how effectively the Senate fulfilled its constitutional role during the parliamentary year using key performance indicators. The report is based on data obtained from official Senate records, including the Senate of Pakistan Parliamentary Year Report: March 11, 2025
– March 12, 2026. Additionally, it incorporates insights from Session Updates published by PILDAT throughout the year. To provide a comprehensive analysis, the report also compares the Senate’s performance in 2025–2026 with its performance in previous years.
