The Senate of Pakistan completed its parliamentary year 2023-2024 on March 11, 2024. The Citizens’ Report on Performance of the Senate of Pakistan 2023-2024 examines how well the Senate of Pakistan has carried out its constitutional role during the parliamentary year according to key performance indicators. This report has been prepared using the information and data obtained from the Senate’s website and from the Senate of Pakistan Parliamentary Year Report: March 12, 2023 – March 11, 2024.1 In addition, this report draws on the Session Updates of the Senate of Pakistan that were prepared and published by PILDAT throughout the parliamentary year. This report also provides a comparative assessment by comparing the performance of the Senate during the 2023-2024 parliamentary year to its performance in 2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022 and 2022-2023.
