The Provincial Assembly of Sindh has been voted in through Pakistan’s 10th General Election held on May 11, 2013. It took oath on May 29, 2013 and officially completed its first year on May 28, 2014. As an independent Pakistani organisation, PILDAT, alongside providing legislative strengthening support to the successive Provincial Assemblies, has also been monitoring the performance of various Legislatures. This report is compiled in that backdrop and outlines the performance of 1st year of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh and provides Recommendations for Reforms for the Assembly. Part 1 of this paper presents some basic data about the Provincial Assembly of the Sindh to set the context of the report. Part 2 presents the data and analysis of various performance indicators of the Provincial Assembly of the Sindh. Part 3 presents Recommendations for Required Reform for the Provincial Assembly of the Sindh, based on parliamentary reporters and drawn by PILDATbased on both regional best practices and the performance of the previous Assembly.
