The fourth, but in fact the first regular, session of the 13th National Assembly of Pakistan started on Thursday April 10, 2008 and was prorogued on Friday April 25, 2008. The session which had an unsavoury beginning with the opposition boycotting the proceedings in protest against manhandling of two of its stalwarts – Arbab Ghulam Rahim and Dr. Sher Afgan Niazi – progressed to witness a relatively smooth interaction of the treasury and the opposition benches, with only occasional exchange of heated arguments between the two.
