PILDAT had organised a series of simulation workshops on How to Resolve Real Conflicts for Parliamentarians, Legislators of Provincial Assemblies of the Punjab and Sindh and Legislative Assemblies of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, Parliamentary staff of these legislatures and youth wings of major political parties of Pakistan in 2011. These simulation workshops were organised on real issues being faced by the people of these regions. First workshop of this series was organised for Members of the Parliament on March 21, 2011 in Islamabad, workshops were organised for members the Provincial Assemblies of the Punjab and Sindh on March 17, 2011 in Lahore and on October 24, 2011 in Karachi respectively. Similar workshops were held for members for the Legislative Assemblies of Gilgit-Baltistan on May 04, 2011 and Azad Jammu & Kashmir on September 29, 2011 in Islamabad respectively. These workshops were designed as mock simulation exercises on real issues being faced by the region in which participants were trained through an opportunity to resolve a real issue, in a real time setting, through simulated role playing so as to generate meaningful solutions to the issue.
