PILDAT, in association with Pakistan-Afghanistan Parliamentary Friendship Group in the National Assembly of Pakistan, hosted the 10th Round of Pakistan-Afghanistan Parliamentarians’ Dialogue in Islamabad on October 01-02, 2013. The purpose of the 10th Round of Dialogue was to bring together Afghan and Pakistani Parliamentarians to discuss the issues on Impact of Pre and Post Withdrawal Scenario 2014 on Pakistan and Afghanistan: What needs to be done and Steps required for enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan: Focus on the role of Civil Society. A delegation of Seven (7) Afghan Parliamentarians, belonging to the Wolesi Jirga had a detailed dialogue with their Pakistani counterparts on the contentious issues impacting the relations of the two countries. This report presents an overview of the 10th round of the Dialogue. PILDAT conceptualized and the initiated the project of building and deepening Parliamentary ties and relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan in 2008. Six joint workshops of Pakistani and Afghanistan Parliamentarians were held by PILDAT in 2008, 2009 and mid 2011.
