PILDAT held a workshop for the capability-building of newly elected MNAs under the title of Federal Budget Process on Monday May 26 – Tuesday May 27, 2003 at Hotel Marriott, Islamabad as part of its Legislative Capability Building Programme to prepare members of the parliament to effectively review and analyse the budget before its approval.
The aim of the workshop was to raise the awareness of legislators about the budget process, build the skills and enhance the capabilities of the elected legislators in the analysis and review of the budget before its approval. The main objective of the workshop was to enable legislators to review the upcoming budget in its detail so as to be able to represent citizen’s interests.
