PILDAT is holding a Virtual Book Launch of Mr. Shahid Hamid’s book, Treasured Memories that he penned down looking back at the events of seven decades of his very eventful life in which he has served on many key positions, including Governor of Punjab and Caretaker Federal Minister of Defence and Establishment. Mr. Shahid Hamid is a renowned Senior Lawyer, Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The book takes readers through Mr. Shahid Hamid’s memories of his student years in England where he studied at the Aldenham Boarding School followed by a degree in Economics from the Cambridge University and Barrister at Law from the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple. The book traverses through his early CSP Years and the glimpses from his law practice. Perhaps the most insightful for the reader are various incidents from his time as the Governor of Punjab and as Caretaker Minister.

The Virtual Book Launch will be held on Thursday, March 04, 2021 at 3 pm (PKT) across PILDAT’s social media pages on YouTube, Facebook and Twitter.

The book launch will bring together Mr. Sartaj Aziz, former Federal Minister, who has also written the Foreword of Treasured Memories, Mr. Ahmed Bilal Mehboob, President PILDAT, Mr. Mujib-ur-Rehman Shami, Analyst and Editor-in-Chief Daily Pakistan, Mr. Fahd Husain, Resident Editor Dawn Islamabad and Ms. Sahar Bandial, Advocate High Court. Ms. Aasiya Riaz, Joint Director PILDAT, will moderate the Virtual Launch.
