July 31; PILDAT organised a Short Course on the subject of Pakistan’s Public Policy and Political Economy Challenges and the need for Inter-Institutional Dialogue in Pakistan.
Speakers included Mr. Shahid Hamid, Senior Advocate Supreme Court; Former Governor Punjab; Former Federal Minister for Defence, Mr. Shahid Kardar, Former Governor, State Bank of Pakistan, Dr. Syed Akbar Zaidi, Political Economist, Mr. Ahmed Bilal Mehboob, President PILDAT and Ms. Aasiya Riaz, Joint Director, PILDAT.
Participants included nominees from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI), in addition to academicians and scholars, who, towards the end of the course, developed practical recommendations for policy makers including for Government, Parliament and Political Parties on how to execute an inter-institutional dialogue.
