PILDAT Report on Public Opinion on Quality of Governance in Pakistan: First Year of Federal and Provincial Governments: June 2013 – May 2014 is the first of its kind report to assess the Quality of Governance in Pakistan through nationwide public opinion. Earlier, upon the completion of first 100 days of these Governments in office in September 2013, PILDAT had undertaken and published a Public Verdict on Performance of Governance and Democracy in First 100 Days of Pakistan’s National and Provincial Governments. This is the first of its kind report to examine the Quality of Governance based on public opinion upon the completion of 1st year of National and Provincial Governments elected through the May 2013 General Election. As democracy has made progress in Pakistan over the years, PILDAT believes the focus should be on performance of democracy, separate from the process of democracy, to gauge how democracy has delivered to the citizens in terms of providing good governance.
