Consultative Session on Reforming Prosecution and Free Legal Aid Services

Karachi, November 07: PILDAT facilitated a Consultative Session on Reforming Prosecution and Free Legal Aid System in collaboration with Pakistan Bar Council. Various tiers of legal practitioners, representatives of Sindh Prosecution Service, Sindh Bar Council, Sindh High Court Bar Association, Investigating Officers of Police, Members of Parliament as well as Members of Sindh Assembly attended to discuss the issues in existing legislation and to debate upon the implementation strategy of proposed reforms in Prosecution and Free Legal Aid system of Pakistan.

The consultative session was organised by PILDAT as part of “Reforms in Rule of Law in Pakistan” project, supported by Development Alternatives Inc. (DAI) under the Enhanced Democratic Accountability and Civic Engagement (EDACE) project.
