The study aimed to simplify the choices available to the voters by comparing the programmes and manifestoes of major political parties prior to the General Elections held in October 2002. The political parties included in the study were ANP, MQM, PML (N), PML (Q), PPP Parliamentarian and PTI, as well as the two alliances: MMA and the NA. The issues examined under the study come under the broad headings of economic, social, political and defense & foreign relations.
