The conference looked at the national scenario of the coming general election as well as focused especially on the provinces of the NWFP and Balochistan which had seen the emergence of the religio-political alliance, the Muttahidda Majlis-e-Amal, Pakistan (MMAP) as the successful party from the 2002 general election. PILDAT offers its sincerest thanks and appreciation to the panel of speakers at the conference who presented their perspectives in various sessions of the conference.
