Consultative Workshop: Improving Participation of Women, Youth and Non-Muslims in Electoral Processes in Pakistan

This report contributes to the debate on improving electoral participation of citizens, especially disadvantaged communities such as Women, Youth and Non-Muslims with traditionally lower levels of electoral participation. Various reforms proposals carried in this report have been put forward by representatives of various political parties, representative groups of youth, women and non-Muslims who participated in the concluding workshop. This report takes the PILDAT Discusssion Paper on Proposed Reforms to Improve Electoral Participation of Women, Youth and Non-Muslim Communities as a starting point and mainly details views and analyses recorded at the concluding workshop in addition to those contained in the Discussion Paper.
