With the belief that citizens, especially youth, must make informed electoral choices based on understanding of party pledges contained in party manifesto ahead of each General Election, PILDAT has continued to analyse and publish analyses of election manifestoes of major political parties ahead of 2002, 2008 and 2013 General Elections.
This paper, covering analysis of election manifestoes of major political parties ahead of 2018 General Election scheduled to be held on July 25, 2018, provides potential voters, especially the youth, with a concise overview of the manifestos of major political parties and to help citizens make informed decision for casting of their votes.
The comparative analysis may also be useful to the political parties in comparing their manifestoes with the other parties. Political researchers, analysts and Media both in Pakistan and outside may also find this comparison useful in their professional work.
