The Assessment of the Quality of Democracy in first 100 Days of National and Provincial Governments is a report prepared by PILDAT to evaluate the quality of democracy in Pakistan during this period. The 100 days period has been calculated from June 5, 2013 – the date on which newly-elected Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad Nawaz Sharif, MNA (NA-120, Lahore-III, Punjab, PML-N) took oath of office – to September 13, 2013. The Assessment is broadly based on a Pakistan Specific Framework drawn from the international criteria developed by the International Institute of Democracy and Electoral Assistance – IIDEA. For the purposes of consistency, both the frameworks (i.e the Original framework devised by IIDEA and the indigenous adaptation of the same by PILDAT) have been used to develop Score Cards based on the evaluation carried out by members of the Democracy Assessment Group – DAG.
